ASOS app users in Australia and elsewhere received a threatening push notification on 6 October 2026, in what appears to be a hack of the online fashion retailer. The message contained a data breach warning and threatened to leak customer data.
Users responded with concern on social media, with outlets including News.com.au, Nine.com.au, the BBC, and the ABC reporting widespread concern. ASOS has not yet confirmed the extent of the breach or how many customers are caught up in the incident.
