A Japanese father stranded his seven-year-old son by himself on Mount Fuji. He hoped to make it to the summit. So he took his other son and kept going, leaving the younger boy behind on the mountain.
The child was located by himself after the father and brother continued ahead without him. The father later apologized. He called it a rash decision. He stated he regretted leaving the boy behind while he and his older son pushed for the top.
