Between 266,000 and 450,000 high school students marched through cities across France on Tuesday in what organisers called "act 3" of an continuing wave of protests. Classes were suspended at multiple schools as clashes broke out, with police making 488 arrests.

President Emmanuel Macron convened an urgent session with ministers at the Elysee Palace in response to the unrest. Demonstrators from Saint-Denis to Paris said they were pushing for a better future, with many showing clear anger at current conditions.
